This weekend was quite action packed for a friend's birthday weekend. BBQ on Friday + white water rafting on Saturday = good times had by all.
Although perhaps the highlight of the entire weekend was the random discovery of a small deli in Coloma which stocked Sprecher root beer. Brewed in Glendale, Wisconsin, it's definitely the most delicious root beer you will ever have the pleasure of tasting.
Sprecher is a small brewery, and there isn't much distribution outside of Wisconsin, so my siblings and I would drink as much as we could on our summer trips back to the dairy state. Perhaps fond childhood memories and the fact that it's so hard to find makes the root beer better tasting than it is, but I don't think so.
I mean, just look at this excited face:
So the moral of the story kids is that if you are ever out and about and notice a Sprecher root beer, cream soda, or Orange Dream - do yourself a service and pick up a bottle. You won't be sorry.
And if you are...then you're most likely a no good Commie.
AHHHH! Love it. Love our mutual love for all things Wisconsin. I visited the Sprecher brewery a few years back and it was splendid. My family had some beef jerky and bratwurst shipped in from Wisconsin last month and it was delightful.
